Visitors' Table in Church Vestibule
(and in Parish Hall)
- Be at table 15 minutes before church equipped with pen and
name tag.
- Set up card table to left of center door, put out tablecloth
and visitors sign.
- Display for give-away visitor packets, colored membership
directory, historical sheet, sermons, Steeple Weekly as well
as Newcomer Information Forms (probably #2 & #3 will
be completed by someone before you arrive. If not, materials
are to be found in very first pew to left of central door.)
- Before and after the service smile and engage approaching
visitors, offer materials, answer questions and encourage them
to sign the Newcomer Information Form. Introduce them to passing
members and direct them to coffee hour. (You will have to leave
the service during the last hymn to go to your duty..)
- After people have left return materials to storage pew.
- On back of Newcomer Information Form note suggestions to
improve this friendly interface.
- Put completed forms in secretary's mail slot to right of
door in parish hall.

- Bring with you a pen plus a felt tip pen. Before church service
set up card table by name tag display board in parish hall.
- From cupboard with red cross on it get sign for table, visitors
packets, colored membership directories, blank temporary name
tags and Newcomer Information Forms and display on table.
- Leave the service during the last hymn to get your coffee
before crowd hits.
- Prepare temporary name tags for visitors and encourage them
to sign the Newcomer Information Form, if they haven't done it
at the church.
- Introduce visitors to members so that they become comfortable
in being here.
- At close of coffee hour return materials to cupboard.
- On back of information form note your suggestions for improving
this friendly function.
- Place all notated Visitor Information Forms in secretary's
mail slot on rack beside door.
