Welcome From the Director of Religious Education

Welcome to Young Church!

We are a Unitarian Universalist community offering weekly worship and classes for children in preschool through eighth grade and a senior high youth group that meets every other week.

We are a creedless religion, believing that each person is on a lifelong quest for truth and meaning.

Because we believe that all the world's major religions has something to offer, we expose our children to varied teachings, including through our popular "Neighboring Faiths" program, which takes them into other faith communities for learning and worship.

The "Our Whole Lives" (OWL) program is a values-based sexuality education program for middle schoolers, guiding them in responsible decision-making.

Two choirs for children and teens meet every Sunday, exposing them to a variety of cultrues and musical styles.

A coming-of-age program assists high school youth as they wrestle with questions about their place in the world.

Community service days, parent discussion groups, and family gatherings offer support to families seeking an open-minded, open-hearted approach to life's big questions.

I hope you will explore our program further by visiting our "Children and Youth" pages. Please be sure to check out my blog for weekly updates and activities to do at home.

See you in Young Church!
