Later end time for Young Church

Along with the exciting change of having children and youth in the first part of the worship service every Sunday, there’s been another change. Young Church now goes until 11:45. We decided to do this so that in addition to experiencing part of the worship service in “Big Church,” our children would continue to have their own worship circle in Young Church before beginning their other activities. Young Church worship circle is an important part of Sunday morning—it’s a time of sharing our joys, sorrows, and “jorrows,” to sing together and pray and meditate. After our 15-minute circle, the children break up into their age groups and still have plenty of time for the morning’s activities.

Please be aware that we have groups still meeting when the worship service ends at 11:30. Young Church groups meet in the lower meeting house as well as the parish hall. We ask that, if you must walk through the main hall area of the lower meetinghouse to leave the building, please do so as unobtrusively as possible. Also note that meetings in any of the rooms cannot be scheduled until noon. Thank you!—Julie Parker Amery, Director of Religious Education
