DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, September 30\, Sanctuary\, 7-8pm. \nJoin us for a special program supporting our immigrant and refugee neighbors\, workmates\, and friends. We will meet with our state representatives\, Senator Tarr and Representative Shand\, to advocate for two bills currently before the legislature that are designed to provide some measure of protection to those being targeted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by limiting state agencies from cooperating with ICE. Many of us are disturbed and angered by the actions of this administration and wonder what we can do to show our support for members of the immigrant and refugee community. One thing we can do is turn out in force to meet our legislators so they understand how important these bills are to us. Please join us on September 30 to learn more about these bills and to demonstrate our community’s commitment to standing up for immigrants and refugees.
