The Reverend Susan Milnor is an Accredited Interim Minister (A.I.M.) and an ordained and experienced Unitarian Universalist parish minister. She graduated from the University of Tennessee (B.A. English, M.A. English) and Harvard Divinity School (M.Div).

Although she grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, Susan has spent much of her adult life outside the South. As a settled parish minister, she served congregations in Macon, Georgia; Minneapolis, MN; and Lancaster, PA. She has previously done interim ministries in Canton, MA; Medford, MA; and New York City. In addition to ministry, she has worked as a college English instructor and a freelance writer and editor.

Susan centers all her ministries around her belief that religious community is called to support and encourage us to be our best, most generous selves. In justice work, she finds strength in the Beloved Community of equality that we seek to become. And her approach to spiritual life rests in finding the holy in the common.

Susan is delighted to be serving the people of First Religious Society Unitarian Universalist of Newburyport as they make the transition to a new chapter of congregational life.
