Sunday, October 6, A Unitarian Universalist Communion. Robing Room, immediately after worship services.
In the spirit of our religious plurality, we are offering communion on four Sundays after the worship service. We are doing this because a number of parishioners have asked for it. Some people miss it from the church of their upbringing, and others are looking for more formalized UU ritual. Services will last 15 minutes and will be created around the Unitarian Socinian tradition of communion. Thanks to Rev. Mark Belletini of Columbus, OH for sharing his services which helped inspire ours. The communion service will call us back to the teachings of Jesus and will not represent the bread or wine as the body or blood of Christ. Gluten free wafers and nonalcoholic wine will be used. All are welcome. Dates for communion are October 6, December 15, 2019, Maundy Thursday (April 9, 2020) and June 7, 2020. Rev. Rebecca and Justin will lead the ritual.
