  • FRS Green Team – Potluck and Discussion on Reducing Household Use of Plastics

    January 29, Lower Meetinghouse, 5:30-9pm, Annie Madden We invite all to share a potluck supper at 6 pm, followed by a talk and discussion on the risk of plastics and the associated plastic waste in our lives and for our environment. Molly Ettenborough, of the Newburyport Department of Recycling, Energy and Sustainability will speak, and we hope to have a few vendors to share ideas for various non-plastic housewares and practices. There will be plenty of time to share participants own practices for reducing plastics at home.

Representatives from each may line up in the front of the room, announce their name and group. Applause will be held until the end. • Scott will be introduced by someone from the Green Team. 1:15-1:35 - Scott’s Presentation 1:35-1:40 - Amy will be introduced 1:40-2:00 - Amy’s presentation 2:00-2:15 - Questions from audience 2:15-3:15 - Reception in Parish Hall next door with finger foods and beverages. This inspiring film is about regenerative agriculture, a practice that grows healthy food while at the same time protecting soil health and water resources and avoiding pesticides and herbicides.
