    Meets Saturdays every other month, 4pm. On this date the meeting will take place in the Parish Hall.

    FRS Sanctuary 26 Pleasant St, Newburyport, MA, United States

    Sundays, Sanctuary, 10:30-11:30am with livestream on YouTube. Join us for worship from the Sunday after Labor Day through late spring. Experience elements of the world religions, including our Christian roots and humanism. Find inspiration in choral and instrumental music (including organ), congregational singing, a time for children, readings, an offering, and meditative silence. Hear a sermon on social justice, spirituality, dealing with life’s challenges, or other issues. We may celebrate a holiday, act out a skit, or hold a coming-of-age ceremony. Services are usually followed by a 30-minute fellowship gathering or a monthly Justice Sunday program.

  • Sunday Evening Guided Meditation (Zoom)

    Sundays, October 5, 12, 19, 26, 7:30-8pm, Zoom Join FRS member and LICSW Woman Cooper for a brief period of relaxation and renewal on Zoom. Each 30-minute session will include a guided visualization and reflection on questions around where we hold stress and how we can release it.   • FRSUU Poetry Group (Zoom)

    All who love poetry, and who enjoy listening to poetry are invited to join the FRSUU Poetry Group. This poetry listening and appreciation group meets on Tuesday mornings for 45 minutes via Zoom. We read the same poem several times, respond to prompts, and share perspectives, wisdom, humor, and collegiality. There is no poetry writing in this group. Please join us and give your soul and psyche the gift of poetry on a Tuesday morning. This group is facilitated by Rev. Jane Tuohy.   • Mild Cognitive Impairment Support Group

    2nd and 4th Mondays, LMH Room A, 11am-12:30pm. October 13 meeting has been moved to October 14, same time and location. This group is for those who have a diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment or some type of dementia. The group offers members an opportunity to share with others who are facing this life-limiting diagnosis. Members are able to be vulnerable and open about the many challenges they face, as well as their adaptive coping mechanisms. The group is facilitated by Nancy Kidd, LICSW; Rev.
