As members of the MA Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence, one concrete thing we can do is support the work of other Coalition members in their work to bring peace to communities most affected by gun violence. The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute has been doing this for 24 years, funded in large part with money raised from their “Mother’s Day Walk for Peace”.
Join the “First Religious Society, UU Newburyport” Walk Team this Mother’s Day to walk through Boston neighborhoods, embracing our shared responsibility in the true meaning of community: “A group of individuals who have learned how to communicate honestly with each other, whose relationships go deeper than their masks of composure, and who have developed some significant commitment to ‘rejoice together, mourn together,’ and to ‘delight in each other, make others’ conditions our own.’” – M.
