  • Annual Meeting 2024

    Lower Meetinghouse 26 Pleasant St, Newburyport, MA, United States

    - RSVP HERE This will be our first combined worship service and annual meeting. We hope that this keeps the overall time shorter and reminds us that the work we do together is also spiritual purpose. The service and meeting will include a bridging ceremony for our graduating seniors and a farewell and blessing for Justin Murphy-Mancini. There will be pizza and a year-end celebration afterward. Everyone is welcome to attend the FRS Annual Meeting. However, you must be a member of the congregation to participate in voting. If you would like to become a member today or have questions about your membership, please contact Cynthia Walsh at cynthia.walsh@frsuu.org. Meeting check-in on June 9 will be from 9 - 10:30am.   • Parish “Fix-It” Day w/ Volunteers

    Parish Hall - 2nd Floor

    On Saturday, June 15, we are planning our second "fix-it" day in Parish Hall. We are specifically looking for support from volunteers who have experience with sanding, painting, and wood work. A vegetarian lunch will be available. If you are able to join us for a couple of hours, please email Cynthia Walsh at cynthia.walsh@frsuu.org. P.S. If you are interested in lending some support to this project but unable to participate on June 15, please let us know!

  • Historic Church Tours

    FRS Sanctuary 26 Pleasant St, Newburyport, MA, United States

    Historic church tours of the FRSUU 1801 Meetinghouse will be held as part of the programming for Trails and Sails. Celebrating its 23rd year in 2024, Trails & Sails is an event series that brings awareness and appreciation for heritage resources around Essex County, Massachusetts, which is a federally designated National Heritage Area. Historically, Trails & Sails has focused on outdoor activities such as guided hikes and excursions on the water, but over the years it has grown to include historic house tours, lectures, community celebrations, special exhibitions, craft demonstrations, and many other diverse activities.
