Portsmouth Brass Quintet: This chamber group is comprised of brass players from the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra. Members include Adam Gallant, trumpet; Greg Bechtold, trumpet; Orlando Pandolfi, horn; Brandon Newbould, trombone; and Jim Griswold, bass trombone. The quintet offers an entertaining and toe-tapping afternoon of musical theater and jazz transcriptions for brass. The Kalliope Reed Quintet: Founded in 2019, Kalliope is the first professional reed quintet in New England. Hailed by the Boston Woodwind Society as “a fantastic musical group full of personality and musical abilities, Kalliope is one of the first 50 reed quintets worldwide. Their mission is to expand and diversify the reed quintet repertoire in the 21st century by presenting unique, engaging, and educational programs to communities locally and worldwide.
