    Sundays, Sanctuary, 10:30-11:30am with livestream on YouTube. Join us for worship from the Sunday after Labor Day through late spring. Experience elements of the world religions, including our Christian roots and humanism. Find inspiration in choral and instrumental music (including organ), congregational singing, a time for children, readings, an offering, and meditative silence. Hear a sermon on social justice, spirituality, dealing with life’s challenges, or other issues. We may celebrate a holiday, act out a skit, or hold a coming-of-age ceremony. Services are usually followed by a 30-minute fellowship gathering or a monthly Justice Sunday program.

    Tuesday, January 27, Sanctuary and YouTube, 7-8pm. The ongoing violence and death of Alex Pretti are reprehensible and unacceptable. ICE Out is real and critically important for restoration of justice. At this special service Rev. Rebecca will speak to what is happening and offer a faithful reflection on how we move through this. The service will be an essential time to come together to restore ourselves, rooted in love, and reflect upon faithful responses, attitudes, and actions. Nick Place will offer music and Joanna Fernandes will help us lead the service. Attend the service on YouTube HERE.

  • Journey of Faith Workshop

    Wednesdays, January 14 and 28, February 11, LMH Main Room, 6-7:30pm. The nursery/conference room and Room A will be used as breakout rooms. Are you interested in exploring your spiritual journey through writing and reflection? Reverend Rebecca and the Worship Associates are leading a three-session Journey of Faith workshop. We will guide participants through a process of exploring your spiritual journey from childhood until today. Each session will offer time for creative exploration and optional sharing. There will be writing prompts to work on between sessions. This is a wonderful way to begin the new year by focusing on your spiritual journey and deepening your connection with FRS members. The class series will be limited to 20 participants. Contact Rev. Rebecca Bryan at revrebecca.bryan@frsuu.org if you would like to sign up. We will be looking for a few participants who are willing to share their Journey of Faith with the congregation this spring. (Sharing with congregation is wonderful, but optional.)

    There will not be a Contemplative Service on February 3 as previously scheduled. The ICE Out Vigil on January 27 was held in place of the February 3 Contemplative Service. You can join Rev. Rebecca and Nick Place for Poetry and Music on the third Tuesday evening of this month, February 17. Contemplative Services will resume on the first Tuesday in March.
