This Sunday, we ring in the church year and welcome our new minister, the Reverend Rebecca Bryan. This multigenerational service is open to everyone – all ages, members, friends and those who are curious about the church on Pleasant Street. Rev. Rebecca will be preaching on the role of story in our lives. In her first sermon, “Space for Stories,” Rev. Rebecca will urge us all to make room for our own and other people’s stories in our lives. She will also answer the question; “What is the most important word in storytelling?”
Bring a flower to add to our arch during the traditional flower ceremony.
Please join us after the service for a picnic to welcome Rev. Rebecca to FRS and to greet all your FRS friends after summer break. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided by the Hospitality Committee, but we need lots of side dishes to round out the meal. If your last name begins with A-P, please bring a side dish to share; if your last name begins with R-Z, please bring some dessert. Food may be dropped off in the Parish Hall before church that day.
