What We Do

The Climate Action Project (CAP) works with other groups in Greater Newburyport

    • to raise awareness of climate change and
    • move us toward solutions.

Climate Justice Rally

Earth Day, Friday, April 22, 2022, 1-5pm in downtown Newburyport

Sponsored by the First Religious Society Unitarian Universalist

1pm – Marchers will congregate at Market Square – bring your Climate Justice signs!
1:30pm – March to the Waterfront Park for drumming and puppet pageantry
2-3pm – Enjoy music by Lucky Leroux and Meg Rayne and friends, while visiting activity stations offered by local artists, educators and activists:

  • Butterfly Puppets/Theater in the Open
  • Trash Puppets/Charlotte Moroz
  • Earth Art Trading Cards/Tinkerhaus
  • Wildflower Seed Bombs/Storm Surge
  • Watershed Table/Merrimack River Watershed Council
  • Indigenous Craft/Patricia D. Rocker of the Mass Center for Native American Awareness
