Thank You FRS Habitat Volunteers!
As we reflect on the accomplishments FRS achieved this year, that long list includes the intentional decision undertaken by the FRS board and the personal commitment of scores of FRS members to partner with Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity to build homes for low-income families in Salisbury. Thanks to Tom McCarty, Richard Comeau, Mary Sortal, Maureen Adams and Howard Mandeville, the team that set up FRS Habitat to connect with Habitat for Humanity to build affordable, stable housing for low income families seeking home ownership in Salisbury. Thank you to all the FRS volunteers who worked long Thursdays and Saturdays to build the homes. Thank you to FRS members Yvonne McQuilkin and Howard Mandeville who participated on the Habitat committee selecting families for the first three Habitat homes in Salisbury. And thank you Michael Sandberg for volunteering to be a supportive friend to one of the families preparing to own a Salisbury home. Thanks are also due to those who contributed to the offering at May services that was shared with Habitat.
Join FRS Habitat volunteers by emailing FRSHabitat@gmail.com. Sign up for Saturday build days—we are looking for volunteers to serve on July 20 and August 24.
