    Tuesday, October 6, Sanctuary, 7-8pm. No livestream. Inspired by Autumn: Slow Down and Release. Contemplative services are a monthly invitation to be in community while reconnecting to ourselves and to the sacred. Throughout the year we will incorporate different practices--deep listening, meditation, stillness, breath work, prayer, and ritual--from various world religions, teachings, and traditions. Each service will have a different inspiration. This month's service is inspired by autumn and its lessons on slowing down and letting go. Organized by Rev. Jane Tuohy and Joanna Fernandes, these services will run the length of the church year on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm.

    Sunday, September 13, Sanctuary, 10:30am with livestream on YouTube. New Soil, New Blooms: A Flower Communion We open our year together with FRSUU's beloved flower communion. Bring a flower — from your garden, a roadside, or the grocery store, it doesn't matter — and we'll gather them into one shared vase, each bloom distinct and each one needed. This year the ritual carries a little extra meaning: as a congregation in transition, we're not just exchanging flowers, we're planting ourselves together in new soil for the season ahead. Come ready to name, quietly or aloud, what you're bringing to this community this year. The service will be led by our new Interim Minister, Rev. Connie Simon. Our annual church picnic will follow worship. Enjoy sandwiches, sides, and fellowship in the Lower Meetinghouse and outside on the patio, weather permitting.
