Wednesday, February 25, LMH Main Room, potluck & screening at 6pm. Reservation 5:30-8:30pm. The FRSUU Green Team will host a potluck supper and screening of Common Ground. This inspiring film is about regenerative agriculture, a practice that grows healthy food while at the same time protecting soil health and water resources and avoiding pesticides and herbicides. Thursday, February 19, LMH Main Room, 1-2:30pm. What we eat is under our control. Nutritionist Nina Caron will talk about protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals, and the ways requirements and recommendations change for older adults. Nina has been involved professionally in the fitness/wellness industry for over 25 years. She is a nutritionist, an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) certified personal trainer, a competitive runner/marathoner, and has earned a certification in Yoga for Back Health as well as a certification as a CDC-endorsed Diabetes Lifestyle Prevention Coach. Nina is the sole proprietor of The Fit Dimensions in Andover.
