    Friday, October 2, Parish Hall 1st Floor, 6-8 pm. The FRSUU FUNraising Team and the Men's Group invite you to an evening of laughter, good food, and just the right amount of friendly competition! This is a no-stress, family-friendly evening all about being together and having fun. We’ll form teams when you arrive, so no need to plan ahead—just come as you are. All ages are welcome. This will be Halloween themed, so costumes are encouraged! Please consider bringing a dish to share; sign up after Sunday service. We’d love to see you there!

  • Newburyport Chocolate Tour

    Saturday, October 3, Vestibule, brick area in front of church, Parish Hall 1st floor, 9am-5pm. The Annual Newburyport Chocolate Tour starts at First Religious Society UU. The Parish Hall will be for volunteer check-in and the brick area in front of the church is for tour ticket-holders to check in. Tour participants spend this day sampling chocolate goodies as they stroll through delightful stores throughout the beautiful downtown Newburyport. As always, 100% of the net proceeds will be passed on to local non-profit programs. In the last 10 years, the Newburyport Chocolate Tour has given away over $120,000 to 25+ local groups!

    Mondays, LMH Main Room, 6:30pm. These weekly sessions are led by Joyce Haydock, Senior Dharma Teacher with the International Kwan Um School of Zen. She has been with the school since 1989. This FRS UU Monday group was established over ten years ago. Our sessions consist of two or three chants, two readings/teachings and 30 minutes of sitting meditation. Beginners are welcome.
