As we finish up our celebratory 300th anniversary year, we are looking to the future and what we want for our community. The Board will meet with the congregation over the course of the year to keep us informed on its work and the progress it is making. Tuesday, September 30, Sanctuary, 7-8pm. Join us for a special program supporting our immigrant and refugee neighbors, workmates, and friends. We will meet with our state representatives, Senator Tarr and Representative Shand, to advocate for two bills currently before the legislature that are designed to provide some measure of protection to those being targeted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by limiting state agencies from cooperating with ICE. Many of us are disturbed and angered by the actions of this administration and wonder what we can do to show our support for members of the immigrant and refugee community. One thing we can do is turn out in force to meet our legislators so they understand how important these bills are to us. Please join us on September 30 to learn more about these bills and to demonstrate our community’s commitment to standing up for immigrants and refugees.
