Thursdays, October 15-December 10, LMH Main Room, 6-6:45pm. This class is for all for all voice types and skill levels and will cover the basics of making vocal sounds in a group setting. Think of it as a group voice lesson. We will cover breathing techniques for the singer, basic music notation reading, and we'll sing songs to unite our voices together. Class will be led by Nick Place, Director of Church Music.
Thursdays starting September 3, LMH Main Room, 7-8:30pm
Fridays, LMH Room A and Zoom, 10-11:30am. (Zoom setup at 9:45) We meet weekly and read both fiction and non-fiction books chosen by participants. Each book is read and discussed over a period of several meetings, with the reading for each determined by the group.
Meets weekly on Friday
Saturday, October 31, LMH Room A, 9:30-11am. This 90-minute interactive workshop introduces worldviews—the values and assumptions that shape how we understand and respond to the world. Participants will explore traditional, modern, and progressive perspectives, take a short worldview assessment, and consider why people with different worldviews often talk past one another. This is the first in a series exploring worldview development, evolutionary philosophy and spirituality, and how these frameworks relate to FRSUU’s covenants, doxology, and unison benediction.
Sundays starting September 20, Lower Meetinghouse, 10:30-11:30am
