Join us for this special music Sunday as we celebrate Justin Murphy Mancini’s last time conducting our Adult Choir and members of the Candlelight Chorale. Reverend Rebecca will be preaching on the power of “we” and the dangers of hyper-individualism. She will draw upon the work of Juana Bordas, David Brooks, and John Stuart Mill.
When we contemplate the whole globe as one great dewdrop, striped and dotted with continents and islands, flying through space with other stars all singing and shining together as one, the whole universe appears as an infinite storm of beauty.

Strengthening Sacred Connections In Our Interconnected World
As of today, the Annual Giving Campaign has reached over 90% of its goal of $575,000. We thank all of you for your generous support. To maintain the work of our church, however, we need those of you who are still considering your pledge to help us with this final 10%. As well, we will need those who’ve already pledged to consider increasing their pledges.
We have received the extraordinary support of a small group of members to establish a $25,000 “1-to-1 Match Fund” that will double any new pledge or any increase to an existing pledge for 2024-2025 before May 15. For example:
- A new pledge of $1,000 would result in $2,000 in support to FRSUU for next church year.
- A pledge increase of $100 would result in $200 in support to our church.
Any pledge or increase in pledge in any amount will go a long way in helping support the mission of the FRSUU.
Please help us sustain the work of this beloved community.
Introducing Our New Assistant Minister of Congregational Life!
Reverend Laurel Gray
We are excited to introduce Reverend Laurel Gray, our new Assistant Minister of Congregational Life! Reverend Laurel’s ministry will focus on three primary areas of church life: membership, adult faith formation and programming, and supporting Mara Flynn, Director of Youth and Children’s Ministry, in creating vibrant children’s, youth, and young adult religious education and programming. She will also preach over the course of the year and serve in Rev. Rebecca’s absence for vacation and study leave.
Rev. Laurel will start her ministry at the FRSUU on August 13. We will share her email and other contact information at that time so you can help welcome her to our beloved community. There will also be welcome activities at the start of the church year after Labor Day.
