  • Worship Service: Our Call to Action and Love

    Tuesday, January 27, Sanctuary and YouTube, 7-8pm. The ongoing violence and death of Alex Pretti are reprehensible and unacceptable. ICE Out is real and critically important for restoration of justice. At this special service Rev. Rebecca will speak to what is happening and offer a faithful reflection on how we move through this. The service will be an essential time to come together to restore ourselves, rooted in love, and reflect upon faithful responses, attitudes, and actions.   • Wednesday Guided Meditation (Zoom)

    Join FRS member and LICSW Woman Cooper on Wednesdays at 10am for a brief period of mid-week relaxation and renewal. Each 30-minute session will include a guided visualization and reflection on questions around where we hold stress and how we can release it.   • Centering Prayer Meditation

    Weekly on Wednesdays, Robing Room, 10-11am. Centering Prayer is a form of Christian Contemplative Meditation. The purpose of this meditation is not to clear the mind as much as it is to open oneself to the presence of the Divine and invite the action of the Divine within. No previous experience or training is required. This form of Contemplative prayer is a practice in resting in the presence of God through non-thinking surrender and to form a deeper relationship with the Divine.   • Caregivers Support Group

    Meets monthly on the 4th Wednesdays, LMH Room A, 12:30-2pm This group supports those caregivers who care for loved ones with some type of dementia. Members share their coping strategies, suggestions about supportive agencies, medical references, etc. The group is facilitated by Nancy Kidd, LICSW, Rev. Jane Tuohy, and Linda Harding.   • Journey of Faith Workshop

    Wednesdays, January 14 and 28, February 11, LMH Main Room, 6-7:30pm. The nursery/conference room and Room A will be used as breakout rooms. Are you interested in exploring your spiritual journey through writing and reflection? Reverend Rebecca and the Worship Associates are leading a three-session Journey of Faith workshop. We will guide participants through a process of exploring your spiritual journey from childhood until today. Each session will offer time for creative exploration and optional sharing. There will be writing prompts to work on between sessions. This is a wonderful way to begin the new year by focusing on your spiritual journey and deepening your connection with FRS members. The class series will be limited to 20 participants. Contact Rev. Rebecca Bryan at revrebecca.bryan@frsuu.org if you would like to sign up. We will be looking for a few participants who are willing to share their Journey of Faith with the congregation this spring. (Sharing with congregation is wonderful, but optional.)

  • FRSUU Poetry Group (Zoom)

    Meets Thursdays (previously on Tuesdays) on Zoom at 11am. The FRSUU Poetry Group is open to all who enjoy reading or listening to poetry. Prompts or questions are provided as we listen multiple times to one poem a week.   • Beginning Hatha Yoga

    Saturdays, January 10 - February 14, Hayward Room, 9-10am. (Setup from 8:30-9am) This is a beginning class focused on turning stress into resilience, offered by Pamela Erickson, RYT 200, and a lifelong educator. The classes are free, however, 50% of any donations (optional) will go to the church. Participants should bring a yoga mat, towel or small blanket, and water with them.
