Saturdays, January 10 - February 14, Hayward Room, 9-10am. (Setup from 8:30-9am) This is a beginning class focused on turning stress into resilience, offered by Pamela Erickson, RYT 200, and a lifelong educator. The classes are free, however, 50% of any donations (optional) will go to the church. Participants should bring a yoga mat, towel or small blanket, and water with them. 1st Sundays, beginning November 2, LMH Room A, 9:30-10:30am. This is a monthly meeting to discuss and plan actions in support of the immigrant and refugee communities.
Sundays, Sanctuary, 10:30-11:30am with livestream on YouTube. Join us for worship from the Sunday after Labor Day through late spring. Experience elements of the world religions, including our Christian roots and humanism. Find inspiration in choral and instrumental music (including organ), congregational singing, a time for children, readings, an offering, and meditative silence. Hear a sermon on social justice, spirituality, dealing with life’s challenges, or other issues. We may celebrate a holiday, act out a skit, or hold a coming-of-age ceremony. Services are usually followed by a 30-minute fellowship gathering or a monthly Justice Sunday program.

Palaver Strings: Based out of Portland, Maine, the Grammy-nominated, musician-led and nonprofit organization Palaver Strings seeks to strengthen and inspire community through music. Committed to performance, education, and creative collaboration, Palaver specializes in programming underrepresented voices. The term “palaver” comes from the term “palaver hut,” a traditional place for discussion and conflict resolution in Liberia and other West African countries. First and third Mondays, LMH Nursery/Conference Room, 11am-1pm. Join Rev. Laurel for our Maker Monday offering during lunch hour on the first and third Monday of each month. Bring a creative project, or start a new one, and connect with other makers in our FRS community. All are welcome. Craft supplies available.

Jane As millions of Americans are horrified by the violence unleashed on immigrants and innocent protestors, many of us are experiencing emotions of fear, anger, and anxiety. This is a time to lean into the collective warmth, wisdom, courage, and calm of our Beloved Community. These sessions will be small gatherings where we can express all of the emotions that we are experiencing and pray together for the restoration of unity and freedom in our country.
