Meets weekly on Friday
Saturdays, November 21 and 28, LMH Room A, 9:30-11am. Finding Common Ground: Practical Conversation Skills Across Worldviews How can we connect more meaningfully with people whose perspectives differ from our own? In this interactive 90-minute workshop, we will develop and practice conversational skills that help us bridge differences and discover common ground. We will explore how to listen with curiosity, ask questions that deepen understanding, recognize shared values, and respond constructively to disagreement. We will begin with a brief review of key concepts from the updated Introductory Worldview Workshop, then devote most of our time to guided partner and small-group exercises. The emphasis is on practical skills we can apply in everyday conversations—not on persuading others to change their minds, but on creating trust and mutual understanding that make meaningful dialogue possible. Prerequisite: Prior attendance at the Introductory Worldview Workshop is necessary. Contact David Turner, davidyturner@gmail.com, to enroll or for questions.

Tuesday, December 1, Sanctuary, 7-8pm. No livestream. Contemplative services are a monthly invitation to be in community while reconnecting to ourselves and to the sacred. Throughout the year we will incorporate different practices--deep listening, meditation, stillness, breath work, prayer, and ritual--from various world religions, teachings, and traditions. Each service will have a different inspiration. Organized by Rev. Jane Tuohy and Joanna Fernandes, these services will run the length of the church year on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm.
Join FRSUU member and LICSW Woman Cooper on Wednesdays at 9am for a brief period of mid-week relaxation and renewal. Each 30-minute session will include a guided visualization and reflection on questions around where we hold stress and how we can release it. You’ll also learn some relaxation techniques to use on your own. This is a drop-in program; come one time or many. If you're interested in joining the group, contact Woman at susanc0805@gmail.com or 781-710-3123.
