FRS has made a year-long commitment to work with the Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity to construct seven homes in Salisbury. Not a builder or wondering what you may be able to contribute? Not to worry – there are a wide range of volunteer opportunities that do not require specific skills. The Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity website [link to page] provides details on the volunteer opportunities available. Note that construction volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Younger volunteers are only allowed on the construction site during the lunch break.

Ready to sign up? Email your contact information to FRSHabitat@gmail.com to receive notices of volunteer opportunities as they come up over the next year. Most volunteer opportunities will be scheduled for Saturdays and Thursdays. If you have any preferences as to the type of volunteer work you are interested in, please note this in your email. Volunteers will be selected based on those who respond first to a specific volunteer request. We will make every effort to give all an opportunity to volunteer.

We also encourage you to register with register with the Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity organization. Registering allows you to volunteer for Habitat work not available through the FRS volunteer group. View the thank you letter from Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Meegan O’Neil.
