Thank you from the Justice Action Ministry (JAM)
One hundred and fifteen UU’s in prison will receive hopeful and loving messages from us. Thank you, all who contributed cards, as well as money for stamps, and for speaking from your heart. This is the largest number of cards we’ve ever sent, and I know they will be much appreciated.

Here are some of the beautiful messages that we wrote:

Dear loved one: may you find peace, love and joy. You are loved and appreciated.

We are thinking of you. You are not alone. With love.

Dear friend, as I sit here I’m looking out the window and seeing the sun dance of the snow. I’m looking for a cardinal to pass by. The sparkling light warms me, even on this cold day. I am thinking of you and sending inner light on these darker days. Connecting with you helps me find some inner peace. Thank you for the gift of you.

dear unknown friend, I write to you with gratitude for having the opportunity to do so. Note that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I will also remember your friends and family. It is difficult to be separated. I hope so that your future is blessed with good times.

Wishing you peace and comfort this moment in time… Know that you are thought of in prayer and meditation. “If only the hands that reach could touch…“

Beautiful being, may you feel peace, joy and love this holiday season and always. I am holding you in my heart and sending love and light

Today in our service, we lit candles of peace for incarcerated UU’s. We hope the spark of these candles warms your life this holiday season. Peace.

Today we are thinking of you and holding you in our hearts. Be well.

At church today, I thought of you, sending comfort. It might be a difficult time but many UU’s  have you in their hearts.
