First and third Mondays, LMH Nursery/Conference Room, 11am-1pm. Join other makers from our FRSUU community for our Maker Monday offering on the first and third Monday of each month. Bring a creative project, or start a new one, and connect with others. All are welcome. Craft supplies available. Change of day as of April 6, 2026: meeting weekly on Mondays, Robing Room, 10-11am. Centering Prayer is a form of Christian Contemplative Meditation. The purpose of this meditation is not to clear the mind as much as it is to open oneself to the presence of the Divine and invite the action of the Divine within. No previous experience or training is required. This form of Contemplative prayer is a practice in resting in the presence of God through non-thinking surrender and to form a deeper relationship with the Divine. The group offers members an opportunity to share with others who are facing this-life limiting diagnosis. Members are able to be vulnerable and open about the many challenges they face, as well as their adaptive coping mechanisms. This is facilitated by Nancy Kidd, LICSW; Rev. 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, April 14 and 28, May 12 and 26, June 9, LMH Main Room, 6:30-8pm. The June 23 meeting has been moved to June 30. Mystic Circles is a gathering of individuals who have interest in sharing and affirming their own experiences of the Divine, the holy, and the Sacred, and worshiping together. We are very diverse from the perspective of religious/spiritual backgrounds and orientations. We share a commitment to staying open to mystery. Mysticism is about an attitude of receptivity. Throughout the ages, mystics have sought union with the Divine—with God (however you define God)—through a variety of spiritual practices. Mysticism is not about a set of beliefs or dogma; rather it is about the felt experience of longing for union with the Holy and of belonging to something larger than yourself. Sometimes mystical moments can be about ordinary experiences of awe and wonder. In Mystic Circles we bear witness to one another’s experiences, share our questions, and create embodied worship practices. No previous experience with mysticism is required. We practice non-judgmental listening and freedom of expression as we each listen to each other and our own deepest selves. For more information, please email Rev. A newly forming Indivisible Democracy Defense Community Team is being organized to promote resistance to rising authoritarianism and threats to our democracy. Indivisible is the nationwide organization that has been a key organizer of the No Kings and Good Trouble resistance marches. This is an action-oriented group. Now, Indivisible leaders are encouraging the formation of community-based teams to engage in non-cooperation with the rise of authoritarianism in this country through non-violent resistance. Thursday, June 18, LMH Main Room, 1-2:30pm. Do you ever read a poem and realize that you didn’t know how you were feeling until someone else put it in words for you? Join us at Exploring Elderhood Together’s last program of the church year as we share and discuss poems about getting older. Bring poems that you like about getting older; if we have time, we’ll talk about them, too. Light refreshments will be served after our program, so plan to stay. Third Thursdays, LMH Nursery/Conf Room, 9:30-10:30am. A monthly, somewhat casual Parish Friends morning meeting - bring your own tea or coffee. An opportunity to meet other Parish Friends, ask questions, and brainstorm. If interested in simply learning more about Parish Friends, this would be a great forum.
